Meet our Friends from Bethany United Methodist Church!
Sharon Collins, a member of Bethany United Methodist Church, has a heart for those in need. An active mission volunteer, she recently rallied her church, another ministry, and local businesses to collect ninety-one purses along with an impressive quantity of toiletry items for the women in our care. On her most recent visit, Sharon brought her pastor, Matthew Oaks, and some other congregants to the mission’s Hotel Louisville for a tour led by one of the staff persons. Their one question was simple: “What can we, as a church family, do to help Louisville’s homeless?” With six hundred women, men, and children in our care, the opportunities for service are nearly endless. Volunteers can assist individuals and families by serving meals, organizing food drives, collecting toiletries and personal items, and even hosting parties for our boys and girls. We love partnering with local churches and by working together as a team, we bring honor to Jesus Christ and tangible aid to our neighbors in need. The mission field is here and the needs are real.
